Questions about holders, flames and festivals
Do the holders come with candles?
Mostly no — we sell the holders. Where a set does include tealights or a pillar candle, the listing says so and gives the wax type and burn time. Assume a holder ships empty unless the product page states otherwise, and buy the lights separately in the size the listing specifies.
What size tealight fits?
Standard Indian tealights are about 38 mm across and 16 mm tall, and every holder we list takes that size unless the page says otherwise. Never force a larger light into a smaller cup: the flame ends up against the glass wall, which is the usual reason a votive cracks.
Is it safe to leave a diya or tealight burning?
No. Never leave any burning candle or oil lamp unattended, keep it away from curtains, children and pets, and stand it on a level heat-resistant surface. Let a glass holder cool fully before moving it. These are decorative holders, not fire-safe lanterns, and using them with an open flame is at your own risk.
Do your candles purify air or help with sleep?
No, and we will not say otherwise. We make no air-purifying, insect-repelling, therapeutic or wellness claims for anything we sell. What we do publish is the wax type and burn time where candles are included.
What does shipping cost and how long does it take?
Free from ₹999; below that a flat ₹49 on the order. We pack in 2 business days and dispatch from Jaipur through Blue Dart / DTDC — 3–5 business days to metro PIN codes, 5–9 business days elsewhere, or 4–11 business days from order to door.
Will it arrive in time for Diwali?
We cannot promise a date. Courier networks slow down through the festival and wedding season, and we do not shorten our published windows to look faster. Order with a clear week in hand, and if the window no longer fits, ask us — we will tell you honestly and refund rather than gamble.
How can I pay?
UPI or Cash on Delivery, nothing else. No credit or debit cards, no net banking, no PayPal, and no payment credential is ever stored. Prices are in Indian Rupees with applicable tax included.
The pieces in my set are not identical. Is that a fault?
No. Mirror inlay, fabric wrap, pearl and filigree work is hand-finished, so tile spacing, thread tension and shade vary slightly across a set, and brass darkens with handling. A crack, a missing tile or a bent frame is a fault; small variation between hand-made pieces is not.
Something arrived cracked. What now?
Record the unboxing before you unwrap each piece, and email us the clip within 48 hours of delivery. On that evidence we replace or refund at our cost. This is the single most important thing you can do with a glass order, and it takes thirty seconds.
Can I return a holder I have used?
No — anything lit or used, with soot or wax residue, cannot be returned. Unused, unlit pieces in their original packaging can be returned within 10 days of delivery, with approved refunds processed within 7 business days. Full conditions are on the Refund and Returns Policy page.
Is there a warranty?
We do not offer a six-month or manufacturer-backed warranty and will not pretend to. What you have is our returns cover for anything cracked, faulty, wrong or missing on arrival. A holder that breaks after use, or plating that dulls with age, is not a fault.
Do you take bulk or event orders?
Not as custom commissions — we sell the sets listed on the site, in the quantities shown. If a listed set is available in the number you need, order it in the normal way; email service@candovixa.shop first if you want us to confirm stock before you commit.
Do you have a shop I can visit?
No — we are online-only, with no showroom or counter. Every order is placed here and shipped from Jaipur, Rajasthan.
